Tom Misteli is a Senior Investigator at the National Cancer Institute, NIH. He has pioneered the field of genome cell biology by developing imaging approaches to study genomes and gene expression in living cells. His laboratory aims to uncover fundamental principles of higher order genome organization and to apply this knowledge to the development of novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for cancer and aging. He has received numerous international awards and he is the Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of Cell Biology and of Current Opinion in Cell Biology.
